Been So Long

Two thousand and ten. Funny how time just zips by once things get a little busy.

A quick recap of what rounded out my 2009 and started of 2010:

I signed with Hennessy Represents who has already gotten this year off to a good start with great input and critiques along with booking of some very fun shoots. I am looking forward to continue working with them.

Also, I signed on as a contributor with Redux Pictures, an agency out of New York who represents working commercial and editorial photographers both nationally and internationally.

Recently, I was in Florida with Philadelphia Magazine working on a shoot of the Phillies during Spring Training. The issue is set to hit stands tomorrow, so be sure to pick up a copy! Above is a photo of my media pass–Please, no autographs.

Lately, I have been delving into the world of video and cinematography. Above is my clapper… because there’s an app for that.

I have had a bundle exciting Ad shoots over the past few months… But since they have not been released as of yet, I cannot post any sneak-peeks.

Lots more goodies to come. Very soon. I promise.

Rain or Shine

I recently traveled to Oden, Arkansas for a Field & Stream shoot. For the third year in a row, I had the opportunity to photograph the finalists for the Heroes of Conservation. Every year, Field & Stream runs this issue, featuring people that are committed to the preservation of our natural resources.

In Oden, I met William Edwards II.

“William Edwards has spent his life practicing and teaching conservation through Oden High School’s Woods and Waters Club. As Oden’s principal, he is the club’s leader, and under his watch more than one-fourth of the school’s students have joined. Members maintain a stretch of highway and the local rifle range, build bird boxes for the public, and raise catfish for a local derby, where they help young contestants bait hooks and handle fish. “We’re a school of natural conservationists,” Edwards says. ‘Our best fisherman is like our star athlete.’ “

Here is a quick video from our shoot. As you can see, we had some bad weather that day, which always makes shooting that much more interesting.

2009 PDN Expo

As many of you may already know, the PDN Photo Plus Expo is coming up in October.

This year, I’m honored to be speaking on a Panel for a seminar called Facets of the Night: Conjuring Atmosphere at Night and in Low Light Environments. I’ll be speaking along with Stewart Cohen, Chip Forelli, Todd Hido and Gerd Ludwig with moderator, Jill Waterman.

Soup and Babies

I recently did a shoot for New Jersey Monthly, for their annual Great Companies story. One of the companies featured in the article was Campbell’s Soup Company. The article focused on the company’s child-care program for the employees and their families.

Here is a behind-the-scenes peak of the shoot:

Here is the final photo that ran in the magazine:
