Weekly Wrap-up, October 22nd-26th

Is it seriously almost Halloween? Where did the month of October go? I ran out of time to work on my Annie Leibovitz costume! Ah well, autumn holidays aside we’ve had another busy week, keeping it local with a few editorial shoots and then splitting up with Chris up in New York City and yours truly holding down the fort back in the city of brotherly love. Keep reading to see what else we were up to these past few days…

Early in the week we were booked up with a handful of editorial shoots – one of the results being this leisurely test shot of our assistant Jared Castaldi either checking the light or trying not to nap on the job. Remember your assistant tips Jared!

After a few editorial shoots early in the week, Chris hit the road headed up to NYC for a week of meetings and photo-related-fun.

(Thanks to Chris Loupos for the above photo)

Speaking of photo-fun, there’s always Photo-Expo, making sure to give us a glimpse of the latest and greatest things we can spend our cash on.

The main focus of Chris’s trek to NYC was a handful of meetings with movers and shakers in the photo industry; photo editors, art buyers, photo producers – you name it chances are Crisman met with them this week.

With Chris up in NYC making moves, I hung back at the studio for a chunk of the week, holding down the fort and working on a gallery project we have in the works.

As far as what you may have missed this week on the internet:

 – We showed a sneak peek of new photos from a stock car racing photoshoot

 – We wrapped up or blog coverage from shooting at the MIT Media Lab

 – Our cover for Wired UK was featured on PetaPixel

 – Heather Elder raises a glass to art producer Sandy Boss Febbo

 – The Strobist has a great play-by-play of a cover shoot for Vogue

 – APhotoEditor has an interesting look on Agencies accepting printed promos from photographers

Last but not least…

Who’s ready for Halloween??
