It’s been another crazy two weeks as August draws to a close. The past fourteen days has brought us from Philadelphia, to Michigan, back to Philly, and off to the deserts of the Southwest via the gambling mecca Las Vegas. The Crisman team split up, with Chris and Jared Castaldi headed out west and the rest of the crew back home in the city of brotherly love – wrapping up major campaigns and finishing a handful of new projects that we’re excited to be releasing in the coming weeks. Whether we’re shooting landscapes on the edge of a 1,000 ft cliff or retouching like mad, it’s never a dull moment. Keep reading to find out more…
One of our editorial shoots this week took us to the famous Boathouse row in Philadelphia. No time to hit the water though, too many photos to make.
And of course, I did my best to sneak in for yet another terrible test shot. It’s a tough job but someone has to do it.
Shortly after that shoot, the Crisman team split up – Chris and assistant Jared hopped a flight for the Southwest while the rest of us held down the fort back in Philly.
First stop on the tour? Zion national park. After Zion, Chris and Jared were cruising throughout southern Utah and northern Arizona, hitting spots like the coral sand dunes, Horseshoe Bend on the Colorado river, taking in the views of the Grand Staircase Escalante.
They also ducked into a few of the most picturesque slot canyons the Southwest has to offer. Jared seen above posing for yet another badass photo.
As for the rest of us back on the east coast? Well, we experienced some lovely August rain and some nice east-coast humidity all week long. It was time well spent in the studio – we are excited to announce that we’ve finally wrapped up one of the biggest projects of the year and we can’t wait to roll it out on the blog in September. Stay tuned for that…
We also kept busy with a few interesting lighting setups thanks to assistant and photographer David Ohl.
