Halloween may only be a day away, but one of the more interesting ways to party is to observe Dia de los Muertos, or day of the dead. As a way to celebrate and remember those who’ve passed, Dia de los Muertos is celebrated throughout Mexico and in other cultures around the world. As part of our Unforgettable San Antonio tourism campaign, we spent a day in the studio shooting these made-up marauders. We even have the behind the scenes stills & video to prove it. In all seriousness, does anyone out there know where the month of June went? It feels like I blinked on May 31st and now I’m staring July right in the face. Strange. June has also been a crazy month due to the lack of weekly wrap-ups. All apologies there, but we’ve just been so busy that it can be hard to find the time. Fortunately we have a moment to take a breath and reflect on what we’ve been up to for the past few days. Despite the tropical weather, it’s been a good week back at home base in Philadelphia – keep reading to see what we’ve been up to…
Another week down and who’s ready for the weekend? We’ve been keeping it local for the most part these past few days, shooting in our studio and working on some exciting new projects in the pipeline. Chris also found some time to make a trip up to New York City for a series of meetings while the rest of the crew held down the fort here in the city of brotherly love. Keep reading for some photos and stories of what else we’ve been up to this week…
There are so many talented visual artists out there. Honestly it feels like every day we find something that inspires, intrigues or excites us – or better yet, something that sparks an idea for collaboration.
Way back in the summer of 2011 we were shooting an advertising project with a very special need for a particular backdrop. In finding and producing this backdrop, we were introduced to Sarah Oliphant. Since then we’ve worked with Oliphant Studios and their incredible painted backdrops as often as we can. Over the years this collaboration has produced a handful of unique beautiful photos. Keep reading to see…
It’s been another week full of shooting here in Philadelphia. Chris and the rest of the crew have kept it local and stayed busy working on a five day editorial project that we shot in our studio and around our great city – we even managed to work in the studio disco ball into a few of the pictures. It might be the dead of winter, but we’ve enjoyed staying at home and making tons of photos for the past week. Keep reading for a few more photos and the rest of our stories from the past week…
Whew. It’s been a whirlwind since we last posted a wrap-up. Five shoots, six cities, 1300+ miles in the car, countless more miles flown up in the air, and it’s finally Friday and I can breathe for a minute and catch all of you up on the craziness of the last fourteen days. Between Charleston, Boston, Pittsburgh, and Philadelphia we had a crazy trip, but we made some great photos along the way.
Don’t worry though, I made sure to snap a handful of photos along the way. Keep reading to take a look…
