It was another productive week in Philly, spent prepping and working on a handful of upcoming projects. As you can see from the shot above, we even managed to squeeze in some time to work on another personal portrait shoot.
It’s really valuable to have the time and opportunity to make personal work. To anyone who’s shooting out there, make sure you’re shooting for yourself as often as you can. It’s an incredibly valuable experience to make your own photos exactly how you image them, and I’d even hazard a guess that Chris might go crazy if we didn’t get a chance to shoot personal work every now and then.
After almost a month on the road, we were back in Philly all week. We had an editorial gig to keep things interesting mid-week, but other than that we hunkered down in the studio got some work done and enjoyed a few fun diversions along the way.
It was a week full of early mornings and sunrises on the road. We put some miles on the road, traveling between Philadelphia, Bedford, NY and Allentown, PA for a combination of advertising and personal project work. The truck was packed and unpacked, octabanks set up and broken down, fuses blown and post-shoot beers consumed.
It’s been another good week here in and around Philly. You might be wondering about that shot above, and I’ll be the first to say, we definitely don’t have views like that around here on the east coast. You’re looking at the sun rising in northern California, where Chris is currently shooting a new body of personal work. He’s flying solo on this shoot, with the rest of the crew holding down the fort in Philadelphia. Keep reading to see what else we’ve been up to this week…(more…)
