If you ask me, there isn’t a better way to celebrate our nation’s independence than traveling around our united states, meeting the amazing people who populate this country and taking their portraits as we go. We were lucky enough this week to visit a few states, meet a few new faces and make some amazing photos. As always, we made sure to snap a few behind the scenes that show what we’ve been up to these past few days…
We kicked off the week early, on Sunday evening, packing our bags and hopping a flight to the middle of our great nation to keep working on a multi-city, multi-subject editorial project
We logged even more miles in the first half of the week, traveling from Wisconsin down to Oklahoma, making photos all the way.
We were met with blue skies and wide open country down in Oklahoma. Seemed like the perfect place to setup an octabank or two and take a few portraits.
We were even lucky enough to make a few new friends along the way, like Abby – a bird hunting dog seen here relaxing behind the scenes in a field of sunflowers.
Even when we were in transit (trust me, there was a lot of transit this week) we never stopped making photos. Sometimes you just need to take a sweet instagram pic.
As far as what you may have missed this week on the internet:
Last but not least…
no better way to end a july 4th wrap up other than to say: God Bless America…
